Authentic Spirituality: Pure and Undefiled Religion
Because of the bright lights behind me, the golf balls themselves appeared to be glowing that night as they flew through the air. I couldn't avoid hearing a loud voice over the clicking of clubs hitting golf balls. I'd seen him there before and we'd talked golf. Tonight his balding head reflected the lights of the driving range nearly the same way the golf balls did in flight. But it wasn't his shiny head that was annoying me, it was his foul mouth.

I know eyebrows are probably raising about now, but let me tell you this works ! How does God know what we want or need if we don't get specific and let Him know
We Fall Down -- But We Get Up
When I first heard Donnie McClurkin's song, "We Fall Down (But We Get Up), I got goosebumps. The second time I heard it I loved it even more. There is a Gospel House remix of the song that is simply off the hook.
Calling All Angels - Talking to Angels
I am a big believer in the strength of a personal prayer. However, some of you have asked for a formal guide about how to call to the Archangels. (See the archives Your Guide To the Archangels for more information!) This guide below is for those of you who prefer to follow a structured format. This Universal Prayer To The Angels can be used to address any of the seven archangels. It is based loosely on Elizabeth Claire Prophet's prayer structure, that I have personally found to be extremely effective.
Mankinds Ten Worst Enemies: #1 Pride
We have a proclivity to think of individuals and nations as our adversaries when they present a threat to our personal or national well being. But, I submit, that our greatest adversary is Satan and he makes his assaults from within not without. It is an inside covert operation.
A New Beginning
Sometimes showing up for life can seem like a major achievement.
And within that 'showing up' we're showing tremendous courage. We're not giving up. We're forcing our way back - searching for meaning, trying to find a new direction a reason to go on.
Just Do It!

were so many obstacles that could prevent me from fulfilling my
commitment. Am I able to allocate the extra time required from

Dear Lord
As I sit here and ponder my existence my heart is burdened by much. See I seek you but feel so unworthy of you, unworthy to be looked on by you. My Lord, I too know the pain of betrayal. I know the feeling of deception. I cry out to you in my need and feel humbled in knowing that You first felt the sting of betrayal, You first knew the look of deception and You first were the one to confront the one whom had betrayed You. My heart grows weak with an ache that only You may know Lord. I have my friends as You had Yours. I know the love of family as You knew Yours. I cry out to You, take my pain away from me, then I stop and reflect on the day Your's was given to You. Am I worthy to know the feeling of this ache Do I need to suffer my own iniquities to feel closer to my Lord For to know anyone is to walk a mile in the shoes they wear. For as I long to know You, I also long to be as You were. I carry the burden of my own sins, where You carried that of us all. Am I worthy to ask You to walk along side me I feel that I am not.
Distorted Perceptions
Often, in being dishonest about our own faults and failures, we have been far too insensitive and callous toward others who have fallen short. It is really unfair to others becuase all human judgment is partial, one-sided, and superficial.
What Is Your Relationship To Time
Have you ever thought about how your orientation to time profoundly affects the way you are in the world Each culture has its own unique way of relating to the concept of "time". Some cultures perceive time as a room that is lived in. The "room" of time is a constant that stays the same, as we change during the course of our lives. American culture seems to more and more think of time as a commodity there is never enough of. When time is "wasted" a person misses out on an opportunity that may never present itself again. Still other cultures experience time as being circular, without a beginning or an end, and with no clear markers as to past, present, and future. No matter how we think about it, our relationship to time has a profound impact on what we believe is possible. Here is a story to illustrate what I mean.
Spiritual Clarity
Who is the more spiritual person The woman out on a Sunday morning excursion for coffee and a newspaper who swerves to avoid hitting a dog, or is it, the man who hits the dog in his haste to get to church on time Who knows My point is that going to church has absolutely nothing to do with being a good person.

Dead Man Walking
One of my favorite movies is "The Green Mile". A memorable
scene was when the presumably guilty murderer was being
brought into the jail and they announced his arrival as "the
dead man walking." His sentence was already passed on
him even before he was properly accused. As humans, we
tend to judge others just by the way they look. Our carnal
eyes can only see from the inside out, and are blind to
seeing what's on the inside of us! In our own mind's eye, we
are blameless, but woe to the other person who doesn't
meet our perfect standards.
Inner-Tubing With God: Understanding Gods Ways
It is so obvious that God works and thinks on a
totally different level than we do. I have spent
most of my life in my left logical side of my
brain trying to figure out God, people, events and
reason. Only to be left frustrated, irritated and
emotionally dehydrated.

The Simple Plan of Asking and Receiving
The Question
Really picture this in your mind.... Someone tells
you that if you ask them for a hundred dollars
they'll give it to you and all you have to do is believe
it they will- would you ask for it and believe
What Part of Thou Shalt Not Dont You Understand
Back in the days of the old law of Moses, God gave him a
set of 10 Commandments all of which began with "Thou
Shalt Not"...We today, read these and take them at face
value without really considering what all is involved in them.
Mind Walls
Walls as a blockade seem to be an integral part of our society. Almost from the beginning of man's pilgrimage here on earth, there have been walls which have bound and imprisoned mankind. These walls are designed supposedly to protect our society, to safeguard us from taboo and abnormal personality traits. But it should be considered that mankind down through the ages has deliberately and voluntarily erected walls to shut out segments of society.
Working With The Light
I do not want curiosity seekers, who come for a novel experience. There is a phrase that has been used down through the ages for such people. "Do not cast the Pearl before the swine". The swine comes across a precious jewel on the trail and does not recognize it value. It is unfortunate for humans that most fall into the swine category! Please do not be offended by my remark! Every soul is at a different level of understanding and appreciation. There are those who have the maturity to realize the value of such a jewel, all others want to rush out to watch the latest Tom Cruz movie.
