Today I was in rather a whimsical mood, and so instead of my usual "how to" article, I thought I'd create a fairy tale for the child within you to enjoy.

When I was just a young soul, on my first incarnation to be a human being, I wasn't sure that I wanted to go to Earth School.

I felt so happy here, in Paradise. I did what I liked and I never ran out of time. I played with my friends and we made art by mixing colors out of rainbows, and made music by waving our hands in certain ways in the wind, and made animals to love out of the flowers in the fields. Sometimes, too, we blew bubbles out of sunshine or created small fountains by collecting the dew from petals.

"I don't really want to go to school, Mother God," I said. Azna smiled and shook her head. Her dark tresses fell over her beautiful face. "All souls have to go to school so that they can become gods and run universes when they grow up."

"Why would I want to run a universe when I can just play with my friends," I said. "And why can't I just learn in the Library Of Light. All I have to do is touch the scrolls and the knowledge is mine."

"It's not enough, Child. Theory is fine, but you only know love when you experience it."

"Ha ha," I said, "I know about love. It's easy. I love everyone and everyone loves me. That's just the way you made me."

"Yes, but you don't know about love when everyone is opposing you, and you don't understand love when you're tired and cold and lonely, and you don't remember love when everyone else has forgotten it."

"What else do I have to learn at Earth School "

"You have to learn how to be wise."

"But I already know that. If I need to know anything I just have to ask you."

Azna smiled. "It's different in Earth School, Child. You have to learn to look for how things work all by yourself and teach others in a way that they understand as if they had discovered it for themselves."

"So then I just have to learn how to be kind and wise and then I can come home again real soon. Other souls have told me that it's over with in just a blink of the eye."

Azna sighed. "It may take a few centuries to learn these two simple things. They aren't really taught in Earth School and you'll forget everything you know now. I send spiritual teachers to remind people how to be free but they often get killed."

"Do I have to go alone," I said.

"I'll send you an angel," said Azna. "She'll look after you when you're little and even when you're bigger than she is, she'll still look out for you. "

"Good, I didn't want to be alone," I said."I'll need an angel so that I won't forget what it's like to be happy. What's her name "

"You'll call her Mummy."

Are You a Microwave or Crock Pot
In our fast paced society we often want everything done quickly or your boss wants it done yesterday. In your spiritual life are you a Microwave or Crock Pot I think often we want God to answer our prayers in Microwave fashion. I prayed a specific request today and I want it answered today. If our prayers are not answered quickly, we often wonder, "What is God doing " We also decide to go it on our own and not wait for God's direction. Often it is difficult to wait on God's timing.

I'm not sure Paul had the Japanese culture in mind at the time when he writes, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all other things will be added unto you." I'm not sure how much popularity the bible has in Japan today either. Yet, it seems as though the Japanese people have at least one biblical principle figured out. In the book, "First Things First", Steven Covey helps us understand how and why the Japanese people think how they do and accomplish so much more than American's in a same twenty-four hour period. Covey explains, that we can divide all our daily tasks into two main areas of our lives. One area is the Important/Urgent-NOT Urgent area and the second consists of tasks in the NOT Important/NOT Urgent area.

Interesting (but unnecessary)
At any given moment, there are 'things' occurring within the open space of awareness. Sometimes there are inner 'things' occurring; a fleeting thought, a welling up of an emotion, a physical sensation. Sometimes there are outer 'things' occurring; an interaction, a perception of an event, an experience of some sort.

Pioneering Insanity
"They're crazy!" That's what they're saying about us. The majority of the people in America at this time in history do not channel spirits, do not converse with angels or aliens, do not astral project, do not know about any kind of higher vibration, and do not talk about Starseeds, Indigo Children, nor Lightworkers. They don't know anything about ancient secrets being coded into crystals nor about the healing effects of various stones. The only animals they talk to are their pets and they don't actually listen for any kind of a response. They don't talk to dead people. They have no idea what kind of a higher purpose or mission they might have been sent here to do. They have no idea what it is to have a voice from above speak to you and ask you to step out of the normal way of things to do some sort of holy spiritual work that will help guide or save humanity. They just go about their lives having no idea what it is to walk in our shoes. They call us crazy and sometimes it's difficult not to agree with them.

The S Word
We all sin. To avoid using the "s" word, we may call it by other less penetrating names; politically correct names. But sin by any other name remains what it is, sin. It is not uncommon for man to blame external causes and conditions for our troubles and sicknesses, while all the time the real trouble is sin.

It Took a Banker to Show Me What Jesus Was Talking About
On January 13th 1982 an Air Florida flight crashed off the 14th Street Bridge in Washington DC. It was a bridge I had traveled across many times before during the year I lived in DC. The entire event was being broadcast live and I sat glued to the TV as the big Boeing 737 slid ever so slowly into the swirling ice cold waters of the Potomac River. Only five people out of the 79 that were onboard that flight survived the crash.

Thank You Lord, Most Graciously
There are moments in the believer's life when the Spirit of the living God gets in us and gives birth to thanksgiving and holy reflection. Moments when we really comprehend how good God is and how good He has been. Not only how good He has been in general, but how good He has been to us particularly. We reflect upon how He stepped into our own situation, how when nothing else could help, His love lifted us. We ponder how in those times when we were down and could not hear anybody pray, He spoke to our hearts and lifted our burdens.

A Testimony of an Ex-Mormon
Mormons like to give testimonies. Unlike Mormon testimonies, I will seek to show that the testimony of my conversion to Christianity is based upon the teaching of Scripture. There are many that claim to have had spiritual experiences. It is seen under close scrutiny that these experiences have actually affected how certain individuals interpret Scripture. Scriptures are often reinterpreted in light of the experience. This approach is fraught with dangerous pitfalls. II Corinthians 11:13-15 warns us of false workers who transform themselves into ministers of Christ. In Matthew 7:22,23 we find that there are those who have even worked miracles, but in the end Christ says, "I never knew you."

Mind Walls
Walls as a blockade seem to be an integral part of our society. Almost from the beginning of man's pilgrimage here on earth, there have been walls which have bound and imprisoned mankind. These walls are designed supposedly to protect our society, to safeguard us from taboo and abnormal personality traits. But it should be considered that mankind down through the ages has deliberately and voluntarily erected walls to shut out segments of society.
